The DCH172 delivers optimised performance and runtime in a lightweight ultra compact body. The powerful brushless motor and XR battery technology deliver 1.4 Joules of impact energy enabling drilling into solid concrete up to 16mm and ideally suited for the installation of plastic plugs and small diameter mechanical anchors, requiring drill diameters in the range of 4 “ 10mm.

This is an excellent sds drill, light weight with plenty of power.The only downside is the way the battery is connected, you can’t see the battery life lights.All in all it’s definitely good value for money.

My old dewalt drill broke, so I decided to replace it with the large 54v drill for the big work and this little one for the smaller jobs. It is perfect for the smaller holes into brick and concrete and lightweight, so perfect for use when up a ladder.

Bought this as part of my transition to dewalt from the 12v Milwaukees as I just dont think their batteries hold up well. Wanted something compact and equivalent to the 12v milwaukee sds and this is much better. Definitely feels more powerful atleast and nice and light perfect for fixings

Not sure if there is another cordless rotary hammer drill in India that matches this little beast for weight to power output.We use this for drilling in the rock, to put 10 mm by 100 mm bolts in. The 1.4 joules does the job, and with the 2 amps allows for about 6-7 bolts to be placed at a time.The Bosch 18v available in India is a bit more powerful (about 20-25 % more output), but atleast a kg heavier with the batteries included.This machine with a 2 amp battery pack weighs in at 1.95 kgs and with 5 amp battery pack at 2.2 kilos. Minus the unnecessary belt clip and other attachments.
