Great bit of kit. Saves time and effort. Used solid for 2 months and no jams

I only bought dewalt because I already have a few XR batteries and it seems stupid to have to buy new chargers and batteries for every tool you need – though that, of course, is how these companies trap you. I long for the days when ‘handshakes’ between batteries and tools are banned so that you can use unbranded or standardised ones, just like phone chargers…Anyway, that’s another rant for a different place. This tool is excellent. I have only had it a few months, but already fired over 400 1 1/2″ 18G brad nails into various materials including 12mm ply, 18mm ply, 18mm mdf all secured onto treated pine, and it hasn’t missed a single one. The pleasure of being able to hold an 8ft x 4ft sheet of ply up with one hand and pinning it with the other is borderline inappropriate and it has made my DIY life a whole lot easier (I am putting up decorative, floor-ceiling panelling over a relatively large area).I still don’t know if I made the correct decision re. whether to buy a brad nailer or a finishing nailer, particularly for working on MDF, but I think the brad is generally a little more versatile and it has so far achieved everything I needed it to. No complaints from me!

Excellent tool should have got one sooner. It fires Brad’s from 15mm to 54mm with ease.
Mr B. Burton –
I am a big DIY enthusiast. took the plunge & Bought this brad nailer. & very happy with it. I didn’t need to buy a battery as I have got about 6 already. It fits 18 Gauge nails from up to 50mm. But a bit of a warning! Don’t try & fit 16 Gauge nails into the cartridge like I did, they are not compatible, slightly wider & get stuck. Luckily, I didn’t do any damage to the cartridge or gun. I bought these by mistake.

Never owned a nail gun before and I was contemplating whether to get a compressor and various attachments. Since I already owned dewalt tools I I bit the bullet and went for this beauty. It’s so easy to use and does a brilliant job. It’s a bit bulky compared to a compressor nail gun but the practicality of a cordless tool outweighs the size difference – for me anyway.Shame the price isn’t more reasonable.
