The all new 18V XR Jigsaw now upgraded with a brushless motor for increased runtime and performance. The improved tool free blade change mechanism holds the blade more securely and keeps the blade squarer during use for the ultimate precision. Dual LED’s and a built in dust blower provide enhanced visibility of the cut line or switch to the included Airlock compatible extraction kit. Bare unit, batteries and charger sold separately. Also available in a top handle version DCS334.

I was unsure of the grip, having used a conventional jigsaw for years, but being close to the work and having more directional control has improved my work. It’s a really stable and detail-oriented way of cutting.When combined with good-quality blades, this is a powerful, well-controlled, and precise jigsaw. It runs smoothly and has good speed control, though you might not like the On/Off and Speed control locations.The grip is wide, so large hands will like it, but it’s rubberised, so smaller hands can still get a good hold. The cutting-edge’s visibility is great unless you add the dust extraction widget. The saw blows air across the cutting edge, and this mostly keeps the area clear of dust.Blade loading is easy, and the blade stays secure, in my experience. It’s also easy to eject a hot blade without having to touch it.Part of the Dewalt 18V system makes it so easy to share batteries, and combined with a fast charger, the 5AH batteries are great, though I have used it for smaller cuts on a 2AH and it’s still a great product. Stick with Dewalt OEM batteries and you won’t go far wrong.Try it, you’ll be impressed. Typical Dewalt high quality, well made and does so much better than regular DIY products.

I was a bit undecided whether I would get to grips with this jigsaw given it’s used upside down but honestly it’s a game changer and meets all expectations of the rumours its basically replaced my coping saw and speeded up doing a variety of jobs, if there was any complaint it would be the speed control and on/off button there is very little control of speed once inverted and no control to switch it off you do have to be careful when not completely cutting through the material otherwise very good robust and accurate jigsaw

Love this jigsaw. Accurate, easy and comfortable to use. As I read in other reviews the switch is not always easy to reach with my thumb as I am holding the saw to cut and might be better substituted with a trigger type – minor grip though compared to the accuracy and usability benefits of this product.

Dewalt have done it again . Have used dewalt for years on many projects . Wasn’t sure to go for the normal jigsaw but thought I would try the new design . So easy to use and feels planted when cutting . would recommend this new design over the old handle model

Very happy with this machine! It cuts trough everything I throw at it (combined with some good quality saw blades of course), I paired it with a big battery and it never runs out of juice too fast. Kind of noisy but that is to be expected. The balance and grip are excellent and the blade latch works smoothly.The attachments to manage dust are a bit finicky and I lost the little transparent thingy after a few uses but I dont really need those anyway.
