This Dewalt crosscut mitre saw is excellent quality, very well made too. It really does make those cutting jobs a lot easier and quicker. It has 5 pre-set mitre stops, which saves more time instead of having to measure it out yourself. It has a handy dust extraction, helping to keep the air dust free but my hubby still wore his face mask to be on the safe side. After the hubby tested it his first words were “why did we not get one years ago, makes these type of jobs so much easier. Plus look at that smooth cut” He is very pleased with this and highly recommends it. Priced at £305.22 it is a bit pricey but as hubby states its worth every penny.

Good, really solid and robust saw, with light instead of laser, personally I prefer this.Compact, mainly all-metal construction and castings.Wasn’t square out the box, relatively easy to sort.Several niggles however:- Fence isn’t pre-drilled for extensions…or repeatable cuts!- A bit heavy, bit of a kick that you have to remember- No trench cutting feature. This is available on saws half the price!- Hold down clamp is just useless, as you can’t tighten it in place at the back- Short power cable- Markings under mitre stops are a bit redundant (can’t see the angle markings)- Spring position at the back gets in the way of an adjustment lever- 1 year warranty only (up to 3 if you register in first 30 days…I didn’t realise)- Bolt holes are M8 not M6 and require 2x different lengths given position of where they are in the feet, so without adding a board the saw can’t be used on universal mitre saw stands!Overall, get an Evolution, or a different. The next price increase in the DeWalt doesn’t justify the additional features, but it is a good saw regardless (and I got it on a very good deal, about half what is advertised!).
