First time using a power saw and found this one very easy to use. It was very accurate. I fixed it to a Black and Decker workmate and it was very sturdy and was perfect for the job.

I bought this chop saw to assist the construction of a composite deck product that I purchased recently. The composite decking was heavy ,coming in 3.6m lengths but the chop saw was able to make light work of the 17 lengths of deck that needed to be cut . The safety features are good and should mean you are not exposed to an risk if you follow the instructions. The dust extraction is not perfect for composite but was fine for the wooden components that I also had to cut to size with the saw.It was easy to attach the saw to my Black and Decker workmate and this provided and safe and secure working platform. For long items you may have to consider the use of an additional trestle. The power lead is long enough and can be stowed so that is does not represent a safety issue. The blade is fine enough for my intended application and any cuts were fine and of course perfectly straight.Having used circular saws in the past I am surprised at how easy it made this particular job and saved loads of time and effort.Although I did not use the function it is able to cut mitres, bevel and compound cut on both a vertical and horizontal axis. The blade can be angled to cut at 45 degree angles. The blade is 210mm and provides a cutting depth of 50mm, this was fine for the task I intended it for as the composite I was cutting was 25mm and did not have any issue despite the fact that the composite was very dense. It does not come with a storage box but is able to be stored safely as the blade is not exposed in its storage state. It is not particularly heavy making it easy to transport. All in all this is an excellent product at a reasonable price.

It’s a nice saw for the price (lower end) and cuts nice and clean. I purchased this as an Amazon Warehouse return and it works fine but the box shows it with a household 240v UK plug on it which isn’t the case as it’s got the 110v trade plug on it (see photos) which needs a transformer unit to work and reduce voltage for safety on sites. I’m just using it at home so a normal plug would’ve saved me some hassle and once I purchased the transformer (around £50) I didn’t really save any money on the price of a new 240v model. It’s loosing a star ⭐️ for that reason, the box is misleading showing the incorrect plug. Other than that it’s a great little saw for cutting wood, says you can cut other stuff too but haven’t tried it on metal etc. Get a saw with 240v plug unless you’re trade or already have an expensive transformer.

Perfect for my DIY projects. I don’t need a larger version of this and at this price (£85.00 at the time of review) good value for the amount of use I will probably make of it.The manual is easy to follow and the saw is very easy to use.Storing this afterwards is simple and it isn’t heavy to handle. It does need to be secured to a bench (as per the instructions) as the light weight does mean it can move when in use.Very glad I bought it and it has made so much of my DIY far easier.

Fantastic compound miter saw. I was debating whether to get this as the price was so low and it doesn’t slide. However this was a great buy. The saw folds down for storage and is really compact. It’s also very light and can bolted down to be very sturdy. For most jobs this is sufficient and I will probably use this alot. The blades are really good as it can even cut through nails. For recycled pallet projects this is bees knees.Only downside is there is no laser sight. So for mitre and beveled cuts it takes time to figure out where the cut line will be and the also work out where the blade cut is. Standard cross cuts are not an issue. But laser sight will definitely help. For the price cannot ask for it all.UPDATE:Been a month in and I have used this for a few projects already.I have used this with bevel angle cuts. Without a laser sight I was struggling to get perfect REPEATED mitre cuts. However, if you glue (temporary) a scrap thin board to the base and then make your first mitre cut on the board. It will show where the cut line is. Set a stop on the cut line and miter away.

I bought this chopsaw for building the decking area and hand rails Plus made my own garden fence. The first thing I decided to do was to get a offcut of a kitchen worktop, then I drilled for holes in the underneath of the worktop using a spade bit, I made sure that the holes matched the plastic pegs you get with your Black & Decker workbench or workmates whatever brand. Then I mounted the chopsaw to the kitchen worktop ensuring that the product was stable and easy to use. Now I can use this chopsaw anywhere I choose to place it with the workbench. Cleaning this device was very easy once I had finished with it I just got a big brush and cleaned off the XS area including the blade. The safety guard and safety mechanism was very good on this device. Angle accuracy and cutting of this device was very good, I would definitely purchase this device again well worth The money. Also the clamp works very well insuring to hold the piece of wood in place.
