Thought being festool this would be all singing and dancing when as a matter of fact it’s useless !!!! The light mens u cannot see the line as u cut and no matter what blade u use it always bends away from the cut leaving the under side not square with the face .

I’m so happy with this jigsaw. I’ve read other reviews and think people judged it before playing with it and getting to know how to use it. The lights can be adjusted in three settings if you depress the automatic start for 10 seconds, the jigsaw will beep then you press the other side to decide how you want the strobe light to work. It’s great as the settings let it make the blade look like it’s not moving so you can see the line get a perfect cut. There is also a reset on the jigsaw if the pendulum falls lower then the blade release can reach, or if you have to remove the jigsaw from a work piece and it pulls on the blade, just turn the jigsaw on and after a few strokes the pendulum moves up to the correct position again so the blade can be removed.Before you use the jigsaw, make sure you adjust the blade mouth correctly for the blade you are going to use, there is a small alan key that you use to adjust the mouth that holds the chosen blade.The jigsaw works great for scribing laminated chipboard ply and MDF. Especially if you use the right blade for the job you can create tight and loose curves. The finish is perfect with practice. The dust extractions is also really good. I will say the only slight downside is that it is quite loud when running at its fastest speed.

Blade swaying all over the place,gutted as trying to expand festool set. Blade release button falls of when used, full press but not full speed. Regret selling my not so perfect Makita jig saw now.
