These drill bits are the best I’ve used in a long time. I’ve used them on both wood and metal, they make a clean cut, are though and have stayed sharpe. The box they come in is great too giving easy access the the bits themselves.

use these a lot cutting soft metals. dont seem to gum up as much cutting copper and alu as the cheaper HSS bits (which I also have). The cutting head is good too and means that the bit can cut itself a decent chip and the flutes work well. They have cobalt in them so they are a bit more fragile than non-cobalt hss bits. I like the 3 ground spots on the shank for the chuck to bite as well. All in all a decent set of bits which should last a long time.

Nice box and nice twist drills , I like the flat shanks so they won’t slip in the chuck . The problem I had with these is that the point is too fragile, it’s really fine point to give you a nice easy access to the cutting flutes but that very fine point breaks away leaving you with a drill that walks all over the place . Completely defeating the object .I wasn’t going to leave a review but I’ve noticed the price has doubled since I bought them ….just thought I’d hopefully save someone from an expensive disappointment. I like the other Irwin drills (just not these)

Very good. I have yet to use a better set of drill bits. Make sure you let the drill bit do the work and not push too hard.

Get these if your having trouble with the dewalt version. They cut much more slowly and evenly. I use them in wood and get perfect holes.

Wie immer schnelle Lieferung..nun zu den Bohrern. Gebraucht hab ich erst den 7mm Bohrer, ich bohrte damit ein Brett aus harten Buchenholz. Es ging völlig mühelos und sehr leicht. Der Bohrer sah danach( ca . 20 Bohrungen) wie neu aus. Das Set überzeugt, vor allen mit nicht gängigen Bohrern, würde es sofort wieder kaufen.
