Worked like a charm. Tried using a Ryobi extractor set to remove some rusted foot rail screws from a treadmill deck. The Ryobi bits got stripped themselves. These IRWIN ripped right into those stubborn screws and pulled them out no problem.

This this a double ended screw extractor tool (3bits). One end is supposed to bore an opening into the screw head (operating drill in reverse/per/instructions) The other end is supposed to extract the screw (slowly, again in reverse/per/instructions). The bored end would not cut the metal of the screwhead… just created a lot of heat and wore the cutting edges down (see the photo). I had to complete this step with a drill bit. The extractor end initially was able to “grip” the screw head, but quickly lost the grip and just spun within the drilled opening. Using the larger bit did not bring out the screw.The metal in this product isn’t sufficiently hard enough to cut/bore into the screwhead or hard enough to sustain a grip for extraction.. and this failure was only one screw! Advertise this product properly… it does not work to extract screws!
