The Makita 9403/2 240V 100mm Belt Sanderis a heavy duty constructed Belt Sander with a powerful 1,200 watt motor to deliver 500 metres per minute for fast stock removal. The labyrinth construction seals and protects the motor and bearings from dust and debris for longer life of the tool.
The Makita 9403/2 240V 100mm Belt Sander has been designed for sanding flush to the wall, with the nose and side of the sander. The Belt Sander has a large front grip for user comfort and the cord is located on the upper part of the handle for user convenience.
Dust bag for a cleaner work environment and swivels 360 degrees for convenient operation.

Great tool. Very powerful, great dust bag with little dust comes out during the process. Extremely easy to handle, install the sandpaper and adjust it. I’ve worked with it non stop for 8h in 3 days. Very happy with the result. It was a bit above my budget specially as I am not a professional and I just doing my deck for once, but I am glad to spend that money. Of course for something like my job you have to combine this with other sanders like a Detail Sander to do hard to reach areas.

Unfortunately my sander had been damaged in transit. But I called the company and they sent out a new part at no cost to me.The sander itself is brilliant. I would definitely recommend and I’d definitely recommend the seller.

I feel super conflicted about this item. First off the quality of the main unit is very high and I had to rub my eyes in amazement having seen it’s made in the UK. The problem in that it comes with something that is an unexpected consumable. On the rear of the unit is a carbon sheet with a cork sheet backer. These two sheets are screwed in place and sit between the moving belt and the base of the sander. Now I was using this on floorboards and given the sander has no speed settings, it’s off or on, I can’t really see how I was using it wrong. After about an hours usage the carbon pad started to disintegrate, this then causes the cork rear sheet to do the same. After a further hour of usage both pads had fully broken down and been ripped through the powered roller. I tried using the sander without the pads in place but it caused a really uneven sand, causing deep grooves to left. So I discontinued usage. The pads are easily replaced but at £28 for the pair, it seems like a totally unrequired extra cost. In the end I hired a commercial sander and it did the job with ease. It’s a dead shame as I really wanted to love this. I would say it’s extremely well built and the dust bag is the best I’ve seen on one of these devices. I do however think the lack of a hard case it unforgivable at this price point. Given the carbon pad issues, I returned for a refund.
