Once you’ve splashed out on the batteries and chargers, all the rest of the Makita stuff seems very reasonable in price. The quality of this drill is obviously very high. This item was definitely a no-frills purchase. Just came in a brown Amazon box – no Makita box. Doesn’t matter. It arrived in perfect condition and saved me throwing out more cardboard.

I am a tradesman and this has not got the power of an impact driver. But look at the price, you get what you pay for. My old one lasted 4 years so well worth the money.

I know Makita products can be expensive, but the saying “you get what you pay for” is so true.This drill gives such good performance. I only have one foible and thats the shift that turns it from drill to screwdriver to hammer drill. Its quite stiff at first and can take some moving. But other than that good quality and price.
