DJR187Z 18V Li-ion LXT Brushless Reciprocating Saw – No batteries included
Compact and lightweight.
The DJR187Z is a cordless Reciprocating Saw powered by 18V Li-ion battery to deliver up to 3,000 spm. It has been developed for higher cutting efficiency, lightweight and compact by adopting a vertical crank mechanism and brushless DC motor. The motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. The electric 2 speed selection provides the ideal rpm high speed for wood cutting and low speed for metal cutting. Variable speed control by trigger for convenience, and electric brake for operator safety.
The DJR187Z features tool-less shoe adjustment, the lever system is employed instead of a button system, preventing the blade lock from intentionally releasing and tool-less blade change, redesigned blade clamp to make it easier to install and remove blades. LED job light to illuminate the work area.
Please Note:
Any accessories shown are not necessarily supplied as standard equipment.

Really good quality as you would expect from Makita, works well, easy to change blades and very quick as well. decent bit of kit.

Very handy tool to have – a must-have for every tool box. Great quality too.

I was dreading cutting down a couple of small trees and branches (approx 4.5 m high / up to 10 cm in diameter)I did a very good job and made it a lot easier the the hand saw (I mean A LOT easier… from personal experience)it is a powerful tool and works particularly well if you have two batteries, so that you can charge one while using the tool. Beware not to press too hard on the blade to avoid bending it (which I did) but it is easy to replace and the tool is great.Very good for trimming or cutting firewood for medium size logs for instanceIt is clearly not a precision tool though, so if you are after a nice clean cut, I would go back to the hand saw.

How did I manage without this saw!? Works so well but use with care can be quite a handful!

So much power. Cuts through 100mm branches in about 10 seconds. Great for cutting through roots too. Excellent, relatively safe, alternative to a chainsaw. Battery lasts well too! I haven’t really used it for precision carpentry, but it easily cut an old oak patio table in half in a controlled way. Nothing not to like about this tool. If you want to cut big stuff then buy one.

Bought this to take down old decking, it is just brilliant, wish I had more demolition to do.

Kraftfull
