It has machined bevel gears for smoother rotations and a more efficient transfer of energy. The labyrinth construction prevents debris from penetrating the motor, bearings and gears for longer tool life. The gear housing can be positioned at every 90 degrees.

The Grinder is double insulated and can be connected to dust extraction system with optional dust collecting wheel guard (not included).

This is a serious piece of kit. It’s heavy, built like a tank and highly effective. With a diamond blade attached it sliced through a 100mm square 50 year old reinforced concrete fence post with absolute ease. The weight requires effort but adds inertia and probably helps with stability reducing the possibility of kick-back. The slow start feature is good too. Comes as a bare unit with just the box, guard and spanner. Instructions are basic but adequate. Assembly was easy enough once I’d worked out which model I have and stopped looking for a lever on the guard which apparently the other models have but mine doesn’t. It certainly does the job.

Had to get a replacement as 1st delivery disappeared !!!!! A heavy bit of kit but made short work of cutting 22mm thick porcelain outdoor slab / tiles. I would recommend this angle drive but it is heavy. Well known Brand and 240v helped as no need for a 110v transformer

Typical Makita product! Well designed and powerful. Beware of kickback if discs gets jammed. Very powerful motor.😎

Absolute beast of a machine that demands respect and will cut through just about anything like butter with 2000w behind it.Please use appropriate PPE when using this! You need concentration and two hands to use it. The weight is roughly 9kg loaded with blade. This is a 5 star machine but I’m deducting one star due to the fact that it doesn’t come with a case as standard – but it’s so big that you need one. All you get is a cardboard box.As I found to my cost, the correct case for this item is not easy to find and even when you do it costs roughly £35 – 40 as a optional extra.Due to this I sent mine back and found another online provided with the genuine Makita case + 1 x diamond blade as standard for less than £120 including free postage.Much better to have the genuine case for storage and carriage.Ending on a positive it is made in the EU.

Bought this to replace one from a German chain which burned out. Little bit heavier than old . But would expect that with a better brand. So far I’m happy with it .👍

This machine is a beast but could tackle virtually any job put in front of it.I just cut through two 5 inch square concrete posts like butter.
