I bought this on an amazing Amazon Warehouse deal. This Makita saw is well made and all you would expect from this brand, solid but well designed, it doesn’t feel overly heavy and vibrate excessively. Very happy with this purchase.

Bought the saw to cut the bottoms of my garden fence panels in situ, which it did easily. Given it 5 stars for quality but would echo other reviews that it’s misdescribed as having a ladder hook …mine doesn’t.

Excellent piece of kit well worth the price. Blades that come with the machine are crap though, but that’s something that can be resolved. Makes light work of wood. It’s a bit heavy but that doesn’t bother me. I bought it corded rather than battery but that’s just personal preference, plug in for me equates to more reliable power. Another tool for my collection.

No problems.. haven’t used it yet but it seems to be well made with USA design but assembled in China. ☹️

Great product and helped me finish a job I needed to do for a long time. Product feels solid, little vibration and easy to use.

Strong, sturdy machine, went from Bosch el. saw (which was garbage) to Makita, delighted with performance.

I’m so pleased I bought this saw, it has made my life so much easier for all the jobs it has been used for. Blade change is very easy. The one little downside, it’s a bit heavy for prolonged use. Overall great value for money.

My previous Guild reciprocating saw finally died a death a few days ago after nearly seven years of use. However, when cutting with it, and with regular changes of blades to keep them sharp, my arms would really ache after a few minutes of cutting, and I could rarely do 30 minutes. A real killer. That was mainly cutting up fence posts or logs – or even branches off the trees in the garden. However – I had this delivered yesterday and did my first cutting with it today. WOW!!! No aching arms, no major vibrations. It cut through old fence posts like a knife through soft butter. Just a few seconds on each post and I had a dozen pieces of wood for my burner. Fantastic. I apply hardly any pressure, it just sliced through healthy wood that was about four or five inches thick.I am delighted.
