Smaller than I expected , but another Great tool for Ryobi 1+ , So handy , no running leads or if up a ladder the power lead seem to weigh a ton .I haven’t used much yet but seem to have plenty of power , 10mm in concrete n,no problem . Only downside is being from Ireland there are a lot of item now not shipping ,, lithium batteries ,one of them ,, I thought if they came oversea there would be no problem but not a hope ,, get to the stage Ryobi no good if you cannot get batteries,, especially after buying all my Ryobi tools from Amazon .

Living in an older solid brick build house I struggled for years with various hammer drills trying to drill into concrete and breeze block etc. Went through numerous drills bits on each job. This drill is a game changer. It effortlessly goes through any type of material with ease. Thoroughly recommend.

Bought this over 2 years ago, it cuts thru masonry nice and fast with minimum efforts, its a good weight and felt like it could take on quite a lot, however i managed to burn out the motor 2 weeks ago pushing it to drill thru sleepers with brad auger bits, i know this isnt what its designed for but it was the biggest drill available.bad points: it doesnt stand up, meaning when you put it down the body is always leaning against the bit you have i the chock, i’ve known this from day one and I still try and stand it up like all the other drills.the motor gets hot and its right under you hand – it’d be great if this drill had the option of a side handle and/or depth stop gauge as some rival units do.that said, it is about 50-100 less than rivals and even though i blew the last one up, i’ll still get a 2nd one, i just won’t try and push it thru sleepers next time 🙂

One Battery is great. These hammer drills ok for general DiY but long drilling burns the motor out, then no choice but get another. I have 5 hammer drills all burnt out. My point is Ryobi is ok, do not expect performance like its dearer competitors.

Light weight and easy to use, replaced an old corded SDS drill which was really heavy, this one drills just as well and is so light, even with a 4amp battery pack
